We are keen to receive the CVs of freelance workers who would be willing to work for the company in the future.

If you are a freelancer in the creative industries (acting, directing, choreography, set design, costumes, technical etc) get in touch by e-mail to introduce yourself and attach a CV to: gwybodaeth@theatrbaracaws.co.uk

We will keep your CV on an internal database and get in touch when there are opportunities to work with us. We will also, with your permission, share your details with other companies when potential opportunities arise.

'Sgen ti Syniad? 

This scheme has been very successful over the years (Sgen ti Syniad and 'Sgen ti Syniad 2) where we put a call out for new ideas.

If you would like an idea of ​​the variety of shows the company has presented in the past, take a look at our archive of shows about Y Cloc, Yma, Cariad yn Oes y Gin, Ffenast Siop, and 1936 ('Sgen ti Syniad) and 3 Drama ('Sgen ti Syniad 2).

We usually ask for a comprehensive outline on one side of A4 paper, written for no more than 3 actors (but you can double as much as you like!), and if the idea appeals successful applicants will be invited to be part of our 'Draft 1' scheme which funds the project step by step.

First Draft Plan

The company is continuing with its Draft 1 plan and anyone is welcome to get in touch if you wish to write to the Company. Through this scheme we can explore and commission new work.  The advantage of the system for a writer is that it offers financial and professional support to individuals, and does so in a pressure-free supportive atmosphere. The advantage of the system for the Company is that it aims to secure standard, relevant works that will sit neatly in the programme of work while also managing financial risk. 

This scheme has been developed in more detail over the last few years through our ‘Sgen ti Syniad?  scheme? where the company asks for ideas for specific scripts.
